Back Down the Rabbit Hole - March 24, 2008
Karen played multiple roles (and bells and whistles - literally!) in the premiere of the first half of this opera with the Center for Contemporary Opera in June of '06 (see the Press page for the New York Times review). She has been asked back to join the cast of the complete opera, to be fully staged in June '08 at Symphony Space in a joint production by the Center for Contemporary Opera and Princeton University. The performances will be recorded for Albany Records.
EVDC in London - March 19, 2008
Artistic Director Experience Bryon and Associate Artistic Director David Wolfson presented the work of the Experience Vocal Dance Company at The Centre for Excellence in Training of the Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. The "Open Sharing" included video performances by Ms. Jolicoeur and the other New York principal artists; the premiere of "Return" by Mr. Wolfson and choreographed by Ms. Bryon featuring new artists-in-training in London; and a seminar and discussion investigating the implications of Vocal Dance and the Integrative Performance Practice. Contributing to the discussion as interlocutors were John Berry of the English National Opera, Composer Orlando Gough and Composer/Singer Susie Self.

Experience Vocal Dance Company was featured on CUNY TV's "Art or Something Like It." The show included founder Experience Bryon talking about the work and technique, highlights from various performances, and Karen rehearsing the Piangero from Handel's Giulio Cesare.
